RANCID CINEMATIC CHEESE

That is how Rolling Stone described National Treasure...not sure if I am gonna wait for this one on DVD.

WOMEN AND GUNS

Slate.com has sent one of their intrepid New England danified liberals to shoot...and she LOVES it...and the men shooting with her.

On top of that, Condi Rice has recently opined...

Rice has said memories of Birmingham's racial turmoil shaped some of her core values. During the bombings of the summer of 1963, her father and other neighborhood men guarded the streets at night to keep white vigilantes at bay. Rice said her staunch defense of gun rights comes from those days. She has argued that if the guns her father and neighbors carried had been registered, they could have been confiscated by the authorities, leaving the black community defenseless.

MARINE KILLING TERRORIST

This is a great story out of Baghdad with attendant Iraqi newspaper article. This is what I think the Iraqi people feel about this as well. If there was true rage over a filthy terrorist in Fallujah being shot by a Marine, you would see marches in the streets, shouting, the ubiquitous firing of AK-47's in the air...hell, they march in the streets for much less. But the fact that you have not seen it...and believe me, the mainstream media would love to give front page treatment to the "outrage" over this killing. We are being duped by the media. Shooting here, mortar going off there...it is not the story of Iraq. The Iraqi people know Fallujah and who is there...their reactions to this shooting...good riddance.

On the way out of Fallujah...maybe that same Marine, when he gets back on duty...will put a double tap through Kevin Sites and we can hang him from that bridge in Fallujah and show the world what happens to terrorist collaborators.

NEW BLOG COMING

Monday, when you check the morning read...you will redirected to the new blog site for Don't Tread on Me...which has been renamed, themed, moved to its own server, etc....

Look out on Monday...the Revolution commences!

CHIRAC...OH IF ONLY SOMEONE HAD A HIGH POWERED RIFLE

From this mornings NY Times...

"To a certain extent Saddam Hussein's departure was a positive thing," Mr. Chirac said in an interview broadcast on the BBC Newsnight television program. "But it also provoked reactions, such as the mobilization in a number of countries of men and women of Islam, which has made the world more dangerous."

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

French citizens fighting as "insurgents" killed in Iraq...3 or 4 down, about 59,999,996 more to go...

I SUPPORT THE TROOPS BUT...

I am not the only one who is sick of the tired and intellectually indefensible left wing mantra of "I support the troops, but not the war." The two are not mutually exclusive. You either support them both or none at all. Why? Because you cannot support the war but not the troops of course. But the converse is true...you cannot tell an 18 or 19 year old Marine that he is killing for the wrong war, int he wrong place, at the wrong time...but then say in the same breath, you support him. He doesn't buy it, I don't buy it, and most normal, level-headed people don't buy it either.

Thomas Sowell has written a great piece on this subject this morning. A little historical perspective is in order (Yes liberals...even you can't change history)...and remember, these were members of the German Army...not a ragtag group of murderers and thugs.

"Assuming that somehow you are certain that an enemy is unarmed, perhaps because you have already searched him or disarmed him, is it ever justified to kill him anyway? That question was answered more than half a century ago, when German troops wearing American uniforms and speaking English infiltrated American lines during the Battle of the Bulge. Those German troops, when captured, were lined up against a wall and shot dead. And nobody wrung his hands about it."

Hoo Ra...Fallujah...terrorists...like bowling pins. Line em up...shoot em down!

PROBABLY A MODERN COLLEGE GRAD

A man's body was found by divers in the Pend Oreille River near Newport, Wash., on Sept. 25; sheriff's deputies estimate that he was carrying about 40 pounds of beer (a satchel full around his body, plus cans in his pocket) but said they would wait for an autopsy before commenting.

FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HYPOCRISY

Laurie David is the social-activist wife of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" TV star Larry David, well known for speaking out on, and rallying other activists on, environmental issues, such as the need for energy conservation. According to a report in the September Atlantic Monthly, David shuns commercial airliners to get to her speeches (even though the increase in fuel usage to carry a person of her size would be negligible), preferring to make special trips each time by private jet, which a New Republic columnist calculated uses as much fuel in one cross-country round-trip as a Hummer uses in a year. [The Atlantic Monthly, September 2004]

FOR ALL XBOX FANS

It appears as though a HALO movie is in the works possibly with Ridley Scott attached.

POWERFUL

For all the jackasses at the ACLU and Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International...and the Democrat party...read this and then have a huge glass of shut the F%ck up.

This is one story of many that people normally don't hear, and one that everyone does.
This is one most don't hear:
A young Marine and his cover man cautiously enter a room just recently filled with insurgents armed with Ak-47's and RPG's. There are three dead, another wailing in pain. The insurgent can be heard saying, "Mister, mister! Diktoor, diktoor(doctor)!" He is badly wounded, lying in a pool of his own blood. The Marine and his cover man slowly walk toward the injured man, scanning to make sure no enemies come from behind. In a split second, the pressure in the room greatly exceeds that of the outside, and the concussion seems to be felt before the blast is heard. Marines outside rush to the room, and look in horror as the dust gradually settles. The result is a room filled with the barely recognizable remains of the deceased, caused by an insurgent setting off several pounds of explosives.

The Marines' remains are gathered by teary eyed comrades, brothers in arms, and shipped home in a box. The families can only mourn over a casket and a picture of their loved one, a life cut short by someone who hid behind a white flag.

But no one hears these stories, except those who have lived to carry remains of a friend, and the families who loved the dead. No one hears this, so no one cares.

This is the story everyone hears:

A young Marine and his fire team cautiously enter a room just recently filled with insurgents armed with AK-47's and RPG's. There are three dead, another wailing in pain. The insugent can be heard saying, "Mister, mister! Diktoor, diktoor(doctor)!" He is badly wounded. Suddenly, he pulls from under his bloody clothes a grenade, without the pin. The explosion rocks the room, killing one Marine, wounding the others. The young Marine catches shrapnel in the face.

The next day, same Marine, same type of situation, a different story. The young Marine and his cover man enter a room with two wounded insurgents. One lies on the floor in puddle of blood, another against the wall. A reporter and his camera survey the wreckage inside, and in the background can be heard the voice of a Marine, "He's moving, he's moving!"

The pop of a rifle is heard, and the insurgent against the wall is now dead. Minutes, hours later, the scene is aired on national television, and the Marine is being held for commiting a war crime. Unlawful killing.

And now, another Marine has the possibility of being burned at the stake for protecting the life of his brethren. His family now wrings their hands in grief, tears streaming down their face. Brother, should I have been in your boots, i too would have done the same.

For those of you who don't know, we Marines, Band of Brothers, Jarheads, Leathernecks, etc., do not fight because we think it is right, or think
it is wrong. We are here for the man to our left, and the man to our right. We choose to give our lives so that the man or woman next to us can go home and see their husbands, wives, children, friends and families.

For those of you who sit on your couches in front of your television, and choose to condemn this man's actions, I have but one thing to say to you. Get out of your recliner, lace up my boots, pick up a rifle, leave your family behind and join me. See what I've seen, walk where I have walked. To those of you who support us, my sincerest gratitude. You keep us alive.

I am a Marine currently doing his second tour in Iraq. These are my opinions and mine alone. They do not represent those of the Marine Corps or of the US military, or any other.

ARE TOILETS A HUMAN RIGHT

According to the Fourth Toilet Summitt in Beijing (Yes, there are toilet summits), having a toilet is now a human right...allegedly.

UPDATE: You guessed it...the World Toilet Organization does indeed have a website.

UPDATE 2: As if that was not bad enough...also attending will be the Society of Continence...oh yes, it is for real. It wants to increase the awareness of incontinence...I for one think incontinence makes itself known.

A QUALITY FRENCHMAN

I know, I know...I didn't think there were any left either...but there are.

POST-WAR GERMANY

It is true that those who refuse to learn history are doomed to repeat it...so for all liberals reading this site...a bit of history...

"From May 8, 1945 until June 1946, over a thousand Americans and their dependents were killed by German terrorists,"

So, how did the U.S. eventually quell the violence?

"General Eisenhower went to [interim German leader] Konrad Adenauer, the guy we hand-picked to run the new government," said Col. Oliver North. "And he told him, 'You either stop this or we'll get a new guy to run this country.'"

Adenauer prompty contacted the Wermacht and told them to take care of the problem at all costs, using former SS troops if necessary.

"It wasn't pretty," said North. "There were no trials - nobody was brought before tribunals or anything like that. The German army just went out and took care of it. And the killing stopped."

Tell the disgruntled Republican Guard...and Allawi...you take care of it...or else Fallujah will be considered a picnic.

Added North, "I think that's probably what's going to happen in Iraq."

POWELL V. HILLARY

Colin Powell is getting major heat to run for the US Senate against Hillary Clinton in 2006.

CHRIS MATTHEWS - WHAT AN A$$CLOWN

This is a qoute, courtesy of Rathergate.com, that the venerble Tip O'Neill suckon Chris Matthews said the other night on his barely watched TV show...

“Well, let me ask you about this. If this were the other side, and we were watching an enemy soldier –a rival, I mean they’re not bad guys especially, just people who just disagree with us, they are in fact the insurgents, fighting us in their country– if we saw one of them do what we saw our guy do to that guy, would we consider that worthy of a war crimes charge?”

I highlight those two parts because I think they are the most salient in exposing the thought patterns of the American and world Left. "They are not bad guys especially?" Is he serious? These men who shoot women in the back of the head, who cut off heads of innnocent civilians, who chain men to cages and beat them until death, who represent a cult of death the likes of which was equalled only in Germany circa 39-45? To Matthews and his ilk, (i.e. Michael Moore and others) these people are like the men of Lexington Green, or Concord. But as much as Matthews and Co. idolize these bastards, they show their ignorance not only of reality, but of history. Any struggle is predicated on the underlying causes and goals. The cause of the men at Lexington was to prevent the British government from removing their only means of defense (i.e. powder stores, etc.) and the underlying eventual goal was a society in which freedom of speech, thought, faith, and belief flourished. Compare this to the jerkoffs in Fallujah. Their cause is the death of Americans and the underlying goal is the Talibanization of 25 million people.

The other part I highlight is something that comes as no surprise to me since the Democrat Party has become infected with what I like to call "quintessential human bile" or commonly referred to as, lawyers. Would we consider it worthy of a war crimes charge? NO! We would consider worthy of a hunt down, shoot the son of a bitch who did it in the head, and dump his body in the town square charge. What Matthews, the ACLU, and others fail to understand is that war is only fought within "rules" if both parties agree to abide by them. While the notion of war by rules is an anathema to anyone with half a brain, it is true that two parties must consent. It is clear that the Muj, like the hajis in Fallujah, know no rules...therefore, they shall be shown no quarter, nor should they be. We cannot be loved by the world...but we can be feared...and I would take being feared over being loved anyday. No one HAS to act out of love..but even the Muj are FORCED to act out of fear. Case in point.

TOY STORY 3 PLANNED

On a lighter note, it would appear that Toy Story 3 is in the works.

COURAGE UNDER FIRE

There was a great article published this morning by Nat Hentoff about John O'Neill..the much vilified (Unjustly) leader of the Swiftboat Veterans and POWs for Truth.

Hentoff explains, "Moreover, in an Aug. 22 Washington Post story, reporter Michael Dobbs noted -- as O'Neill has -- that 'although Kerry campaign officials insist that they have published Kerry's full military records on their Web site (with the exception of medical records shown briefly to reporters earlier this year), they have not permitted independent access to his original Navy records.''

When Dobbs tried to get those records through a Freedom of Information request, he was told by the Navy Personnel Command that the full file -- consisting of at least 100 pages -- could not be released unless Kerry himself signed a Standard Form 180 granting permission. To this day, Kerry has not signed that release form."

A question that we brought up many times here and others did as well was, "why was John Kerry so afraid to sign form 180?" What was in his files he didn't want out? Could it be that most of what was in those files would have proven the Swiftvets even more right than they already appear? Could it show John Kerry filing his own after action reports to get himself his medals? I don't know, but there is one thing I do know. I know that every time the Swiftvets come up, the ubiquitous liberal in the room will declare, quite emphatically, that they have been proven liars...yet when questioned, they cannot produce a single instance of a lie or a single coherent fact on their own. I know this because it happens to me. I have yet to hear from liberal friends of mine any straight up false allegation in Unfit for Command...

To end his piece, Hentoff writes, and I 100% concur (especially about non-historian Brinkley), "Yet, on Election Day, historian Douglas Brinkley -- who wrote a hagiographic book on Kerry, Tour of Duty, triumphantly told the Financial Times that the mainstream media have ''exposed Kerry's critics as liars and frauds.'' I would not take a course with that careless historian, but I respect O'Neill for his courage and his public service for having enabled many Americans to look much more closely as John Kerry's presidential qualifications. And, indeed, the Swift Boat Veterans did a lot to keep Kerry from the Oval Office."

WHAT PRESIDENT BUSH IS READING

President Bush met the other day for over an hour with Natan Sharansky. A man who spent 9 years in the Gulag fighting Soviet Communism and has since because an outspoken proponent of the power of freedom to change lives. He is quite a staggering figure and someone to be admired.

You can check out his current book here...or his previous work here.

ARAFAT DEATH CAUSE WATCH

It is no wonder that Arafat went to France for "treatment." The French know how to take care of one of their pals. But, now the French are saying no one, save Arafat's family, can haev access to his medical records. The only family Arafat has are his wife and daughter. His brother just died, his parents were dead decades ago...so the fact that he fancied little boys and died of AIDS will have to remain the purview of the educated guess.

UPDATE: Per their usual arrangement, liberals are going off half-cocked (No pun intended) about the Arafat/AIDS connection so I thought I would add some links for everyone to see for themselves.

A great medical explanation can be found here.

The original article that spawned this thought can be found here.

An article on the KGB director who first published this can be found here.

And another story can be found here.

MARINES RALLY BEHIND THEIR COMRADE

Marines have been speaking out about yet another piece of liberal hang wringing over the death of terrorists. (It began with whining over Abu Ghraib, then flags at half staff at the UN for Arafat, and now crying over a terrorist being double tapped to the head...boo hoo...)

READ IT ALL

You have to read this entire site...nothing could be more clear.

WHAT FALLUJAHNS ARE SAYING

This from the Times of London... I wonder if that piece of shit from DNC (NBC) "News" Kevin Sites will go talk to any of these people?

"Even those who had been hurt in the attack appeared to be happy to see the American troops. One half-naked elderly man in underwear stained with blood from wounds inflicted by a US shell cursed the insurgents as he greeted advancing Marines. “I wish the Americans had come here the very first day and not waited eight months,” he said.

Another old man, who had been imprisoned by the rebels and was then petrified by the US assault, praised the American troops for driving out the gunmen. “We were happy you did what you did because Fallujah had been suffocated by the Mujahidin,” he said, recalling arbitrary killings of anyone who failed to adhere to the strict doctrine of the Wahhabi hardliners. “Anyone considered suspicious would be slaughtered. We would see unknown corpses around the city all the time.”

INCREDIBLE MAP

This map shows precinct by precint the percentage increase in the popular vote in each precinct that President Bush either gained or lost. Dark Blue means that the President gained up to 9% more of the popular vote than he did in 2000. The funny thing is, the loss column only goes to 4%, because in no precinct in the nation did President Bush lose more than 4% of the popular vote against his 2000 totals.

MARINE SHOOTING INSURGENT

No doubt the media will make a big deal about a Marine shooting an "insurgent" (i.e. dirty terrorist) when he was "wounded" and "unarmed." Aside from the fact that terrorists booby trap themselves to blow up when Marines come around, or that the SOP of terrorists around the world is to booby trap things to kill those who come to rescue/attack. Kevin Sites of NBC "News" did a big story about it on tonight's newscast. He should be ashamed of himself. He is the same assclown who blogs about how this was the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time whenever he gets the chance. fuck HIM! After that brave and heroic Marine put a bullet in that filthy Fallujan bastard, he should have saved one for Sites...right between his eyes!

MARINES MAKING FUN OF IDIOTS....I LOVE IT

This is just too good. Moron protestors...get ambushed by some US Marines...gotta love it.

SCRAMJETS FOR DUMMIES

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE

After watching the utter idiocy that is the Scott Peterson case this weekend and the attendant theatrics of legal beagles like Gloria Alred and Mark Geragos, I was struck by one burning question after the verdict. The question is, Why is Scott Peterson being charged with the death of his unborn son? What did he do that was any different than what abortionists do all over the nation everyday? The answer....nothing.

Let's assume that Scott had only wounded Lacy and in the process killed Connor. Aside from which of the parents chooses to kill the child, how is that any different than abortion? I guess because the mother chooses to kill the baby instead of the father, that is the only difference. But all these left-wing activists weep over poor Connor, yet don't give a damn at the millions of children murdered due to abortions every year. Now I am not one of these people who thinks abortion should be illegal altogether, that is both dangerous and stupid. But, I am the kind of person who is sick of the hypocrisy on the left... from saying that gay marriage should be legal but there is still a right to restrict polygamy, to saying that a man should spend his life behind bars for killing his unborn child, but adovacting a procedure where that same baby is half delivered and stabbed in the neck as perfectly legal....the left is cornering the market on hypocrisy.

We all know that liberalism by definition is devoid of intellectual honesty...but I was hoping some liberals would still have a shred of it.

I KNOW THE NEXT BOMBING TARGET

Amnesty International demands US Marines stop killing wounded "insurgents"...As Dave Chapelle said..."Come over here and sanction me with your army...oh wait, you ain't got an army. You know what I would do if I didn't have an army? I would shut up...Yeah, I would shut...the...fuck...up."

The next GBU-28 needs to go right through the Amnesty International Building...there won't be any pacifists assclowns left to complain about violations of mythical international law after that.

HYPER-X SET TO BREAK THE 7,000 MPH BARRIER

The ramjet Hyper-X is set to be tested again today. The second flight in March was a success, reaching Mach 6.83 - nearly 5,000 mph - and setting a new world speed record for a plane powered by an air-breathing engine.

A MESSAGE

FALLUJAH, IRAQ: A US marine from the 3/5 Lima company stands in front of graffiti scribbled on the bridge crossing the Euphrates River in the restive city of Fallujah,14 November 2004, 50 kms west of Baghdad. The bridge became famous after the death of US security officers' charred bodies were hung on display at the end of March 2004. US-led forces will probably need up to five more days to finish clearing Fallujah of rebels after a week of fierce fighting that left more than 1,200 insurgents dead, US marine officers said today. MESSAGE FROM A "VALUES VOTER"

This article in the Denver Post best enunciates why Democrats keep losing elections and why they will continue to do so as long as they keep thinking the way they do.

This paragraph explains it best I think..."Respect the democratic process. Although values voters are passionate about traditional marriage and creating a "culture of life" in America, we get even more exercised by the imposition of liberal values by judicial fiat. For us, the horror of legalized abortions is eclipsed by the notion that this atrocity was mandated by five unelected justices. If abortion law, or marriage in Massachusetts, had been changed via the democratic processes, we would accept the outcome as legitimate, albeit disturbing. Battles that are won and lost at the polls become cultural issues rather than political ones and the onus then rests on the losers to change the hearts and minds of the electorate."

THIS IS WHY IT WAS A LANDSLIDE

If you look at all the states President Bush won, they got much redder (i.e. he won by much larger margins than in 2000)...but the true impact of this landslide is the amount in which he gained in blue states.

New York is the prime example. Looks like Pat Robertson got it right when he said it was going to be a "blowout."

NEW STAR WARS BAD GUY

Lord General Grievous, the newest bad guy in the Star Wars saga, finally has his picture on the web.

JAMES CARVILLE ON THE DEMOCRAT PARTY

James Carville, twelve days before the election: “If we can’t win this damn election, with a Democratic Party more unified than ever before, with us having raised as much money as the Republicans, with 55% of the country believing we’re heading in the wrong direction, with our candidate having won all three debates, and with our side being more passionate about the outcome than theirs — if we can’t win this one, then we can’t win s**t! And we need to completely rethink the Democratic Party.”

I love when Democrats try to think...let alone rethink anything.

UPDATE 3: 8 Sinclair owned stations evidently refused to show the movie last night. SAVING PRIVATE RYAN

Our local ABC affiliate here in Florida refused to play Saving Private Ryan tonite, citing concerns over "FCC violations." This is absolute bullsh$t. They are trying to make a political point. Plain and simple. If the ABC execs cannot see the difference between Janet Jackson and Saving Private Ryan, then the media is dumber than I think they already are. They are trying to make a point and they are using Veteran's day to do it and that is DISGUSTING!

I suggest writing your local affiliate if you did not get to see the movie and letting them hear you...Lord knows I have.

WOW...THIS FROM THE ST. PETE TIMES

Howard Troxler of the St. Pete Times absolutley DESTROYS nut case leftist conspiracy theories on this election...this is amazing coming from the Pravda of Florida.

Just an example since we have heard the whine "Homeland Security prevented anyone from watching a count in one Ohio county." Troxler writes, "Yes, another Ohio county claimed homeland security and locked down its vote-counting room. Somewhat less reported is that a Democratic Party observer was inside and said he saw no irregularities."

ARAFAT DEAD

CNN, Foxnews, MS"DNC" confirm...Arafat prnounced Dead...Good riddance you piece of shit!

AL ARABIYAH POLL

Arabic TV station, Al Arabiyah, ran a poll throughout the Arab world asking who the Arab world would rather have as US President. John Kerry won 58% to 42%. Not a single Arab country polled for President Bush...except one. President Bush received 80% of the vote to JohN Kerry's 20%.........in Iraq.

MANDATE...I SHOULD SAY SO

This graph is amazing to see. There are those who claim that President Bush did not receive a mandate from this election. Compared to 2000...President Bush increased his percentage margin of victory, or decreased his percentage margin of defeat in 48 out of 50 states. His margin of defeat only increased in Vermont and his margin of victory only decreased by .4% in South Dakota.

Incredible.

ARAFAT IS DYING

Yasser Arafat is dying a slow, brutal death filled with multiple organ failure, blood problems, and rapid weight loss. It is the dirty little secret of the Palestinian cause..but Arafat is dying of AIDS. It is no secret that Arafat has, for years, enjoyed the company of young boys. It is hardly a secret in the Intelligence Community and in Arab Capitals...now it is in the open...somewhat.

You can read more about it here.

THIS IS JUST FUNNY

I for one am so tired of hearing the din on the left about how culturally superior and giving they are. How since they are liberals, they care about the poor and malnourished far more than evil and mean conservatives. Funny thing though...the Catalogue for Philanthropy has done a study based upon adjusted gross income and the percentage of that income that each state, on average, gives to charity. This is a measure of the old biblical adage that he who gives out of his own want is the true compassionate one as opposed to he who gives out of abundance.

The states to be found the least generous? Massachusetts (#49 out of 50), Oregon (#36 of 50), Howard Dean's utopia Vermont (#35 of 50), California (#29 of 50), and New York (#26 of 50).

The states to be found the most generous? Mississippi (#1 of 50), Arkansas (#2 of 50), Texas #12 of 50), West Virginia (#13 of 50).

In total...the first Kerry state on the list is New York at #26...that about says it all.

DEMS STILL DON'T GET IT

I am forced to just laugh at the Democrat post-mortem that is going on. In this mornings Washington Post, the writer says, "Paris is worth a Mass," Henry of Navarre is reputed to have said when he converted to Catholicism in order to assume the throne of France. The White House, Democrats may similarly conclude, is worth a drawl." You hear the same thing from Democrat pollster Stan Greenberg when he says that Democrats need to learn to "speak the language" of Church goers. In all of these comments there is one underlying truth...No one is going to buy it!

What the insiders and Democrat "strategists" (is that an oxymoron?) simply do not get is that "values" is not speaking with a southern drawl, doing a photo-op at mass, or talking about economics. The same writer talks about how John Kerry never made himself known to the American people. This is a nice piece of self-denial, but the truth is, John Kerry was known by the American people, and they flat out rejected him. Fighting for "tax credits for working families" or "fighting for a living wage" is not fighting for "values." Those are called economics....something Democrats have never studied. Values are the belief that people of faith and faith itself has a place in public, that marriage is an unalterable piece of social fabric, that killing babies is wrong, and that thinking you are intellectually and culturally superior is a reason to get our shotguns.

Democrats can talk with as many accents as they want, quote as many scriptures as they want...but when they don't live the values, they are a wolf in sheep's clothing...and values voters can easily recognize those...even when they try and hide in a hunting jacket.

HAPPY 229th BIRTHDAY

On November 10, 1775, the Continental Congress met and passed the following resolution - in secret - thus establishing an American Marine Corps (based on the Royal Marine Corps model):

Resolved: That two battalions of Marines be raised consisting of one colonel, two lieutenant colonels, two majors & other officers as usual in other regiments, that they consist of an equal number of privates with other battalions; that particular care be taken that no person be appointed to office or enlisted into said battalions, but such as are good seamen, or so acquainted with maritime affairs as to be able to serve to advantage by sea, when required. That they be enlisted and commissioned for and during the present war between Great Britain and the colonies, unless dismissed by order of Congress. That they be distinguished by the names of the first & second battalions of American Marines, and that they be considered a part of the number, which the Continental Army before Boston is ordered to consist of. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS

WARNING: Graphic Photo if you click on this link

This is what happens when you f$ck with the US Marine Corps. Notice the ammon belt/possible bomb belt strapped to his chest that he never got to use.

SOMETHING ALL LIBERALS SHOULD READ

George Will on how NOT to win Red America. Yet, speaking to some liberal friends, they are on the path to losing again...blaming THEIR LOSS (as opposed to the fact that Bush won...not that Kerry lost) on (1) ignorant people in red states (i.e. we are stupid, they are smart, let them run our lives...they know how) (2) failure to articulate TRUE LIBERALISM...(Oh that is just too funny...) and (3) Christianity (they are the only ones who cannot see the disaster that Europe has become because of secular humanism).

Oh does it get any better????

POLAR EXPRESS

OK, maybe I am just too big of a fan of Christmas, or animation, or both...but I am looking forward to seeing the Polar Express. Right now, it is at 68% positive at Rottentomatoes...so the critics seem to like it...mostly...mostly...

GOVERNMENT AS SCIENCE

"A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest chemical element yet known to science. The new element has been tentatively named 'Governmentium.' Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 11 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of governmentium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to complete when it would normally take less than a second. "Governmentium has a normal half-life of 3 years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause some morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as 'Critical Morass.' You will know it when you see it."

POVERTY BREEDS TERROR

I have heard this refrain a thousand times and just because it is said by a talking head, doesn't make it true. Some of the poorest, most destitute people in the world live in wretched poverty...India, SE Asia, Central Africa, South America...but do they strap bombs to their chests and blow themselves up? No. Now, a professor at the John Kennedy School of Government has published a study in which he says...Liberals cover your ears...political freedom squelches terror!

Do you think Bush, Rumsfeld, et al are on to something....

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL

(Hat tip to Hog on Ice) - And yes...if you look closely, you can see what the picture is made out of.

ANOTHER DEMOCRAT MYTH DESTROYED

Another common refrain from liberals living in denial here in Florida is that President Bush won heavily Democratic Counties (Even more so after registration drives) by almost 2-1 margins. This, in the world of the Democratic Underground and Barbara Streisand/Michael Moore land means that the new voting machines are frauds, that the Republicans stole the election, and that if only Democrats would rise and revolt all would be well.

Well, just like liberalism in general, most of the rants by the left post-election require you to remove your brain, set it on the floor, stomp on it a few times, then throw it in the trash.

A thorough debunking of this idiotic theory is presented here. (.pdf file)

I will give you one example. Keith Olbermann, former ESPN anchor and now MS"DNC" left-wing hack, "reported" that there was just something wrong when Baker County, where Democrats outnumber Republicans 8,000-3,000 would go 4-1 for Pres. Bush. But, forgetting that Democrats in the South, West, and Central States are not like their left-wing nutcase cousins in the Northeast and West, Olbermann just doesn't do his homework. If he had, he would see that in the election where every vote was scrutinzed three times, looked over by judges, and examined forensically in 2000, Pres. Bush still won. In 2004, Pres. Bush won Baker County 78%-22%. In 2000, President Bush won Baker County 70%-30%.

Newsflash...Democrats in real America...don't like New Englad dandies...and they liked a phony Tennessean only a little bit more.

ARAFAT IS DEAD

Arafat is dead. Good Riddance.

More on him dead here.

BUSH WON MORE THAN VALUES VOTERS

Sean, at Smoke My Gun...far from being a Bible thumper, has a great post as to why the left just can't comes to grip with the wide coalition Pres. Bush has built.

GOTTA LOVE THE US MARINE CORPS

This quote, in a story out of the London Telegraph about sums up why the US Marine Corps kicks ass...

"I got myself a real juicy target," shouted Sgt James Anyett, peering through the thermal sight of a Long Range Acquisition System (LRAS) mounted on one of Phantom's Humvees. "Prepare to copy that 89089226. Direction 202 degrees. Range 950 metres. I got five motherf****** in a building with weapons." A dozen loud booms rattle the sky and smoke rose as mortars rained down on the co-ordinates the sergeant had given. "Yeah," he yelled. "Battle Damage Assessment - nothing. Building's gone. I got my kills, I'm coming down. I just love my job."

... The insurgents, not understanding the capabilities of the LRAS, crept along rooftops and poked their heads out of windows. Even when they were more than a mile away, the soldiers of Phantom Troop had their eyes on them. Lt Jack Farley, a US Marines officer, sauntered over to compare notes with the Phantoms. "You guys get to do all the fun stuff," he said. "It's like a video game. We've taken small arms fire here all day. It just sounds like popcorn going off."

Amen to all that!!!!

AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY

Chalk up another one for the idiot legal profession. A Federal Judge has decided that the driver for Osama Bin Laden...that's right...the guy who took care of and made sure the world's most hated man got to his appointments for destruction on time...deserves a civilian trial with all the rights afforded to US citizens in US courts. This ruling is so utterly indefensible it borders on funny. Not only are there no such things as "international standards of human rights" (Whatever the hell that means) but military tribunals are well established under US law beginning with President Washington, through Presidents Lincoln and Roosevelt.

Of course, the ACLU cheered the decision much like they cheered when Americans died on 9/11. Is it any wonder that Pres. Bush won re-election in a walk? He promises to appoint judges who do not feel that us plebians must bow to the will of the "enlightened" oligarchs. I only hope and pray this gets overturned, but since it is in Washington State, that means the 9th Circuit will get a hold of it and uphold it. Luckily, the US Supreme Court is still there to bitch slap these assclowns. Well done legal profession...we keep churning out real pillars of society don't we!

THE NEW WILLY WONKA

Why does the new Willy Wonka look like that guy from Limp Bizkit that used to paint his face?

DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGES ACTUALLY HELP THE GOP

An interesting analysis of how democraphic, cultural, and economic shifts are actually working out in favor of Republicans...shattering the myth of the "emerging Democrat majority"

DEMOCRATS AND IQ

Many a liberal, seeking to assuage his or her own sense of inadequacy and disbelief after being roundly rejected by the electorate, has fallen back on his or her own sense of intellectual superiority...i.e. that only ignorant rednecks with low IQ's voted for Bush. Aside from the sheer unmitigated gall of this idiocy, it is very telling that they have to create this mental construct to validate their own belief system. Many cite a study that was posted on the internet and picked up by such publications as the left-wing "Economist" in Britain.

In all of the left's wisdom, intellectual genius, and mental superiority, it is now clear that the IQ "study" was a hoax. It is funny that those intelligent and superior in all ways to us conservatives, are stupid enough to fall for this.

Another IQ study that said Pres. Bush's was the lowest of any President....HOAX.

Lastly, the gold standard for hoaxes, snopes.com, weighs in on the IQ "study." They even go so far as to say, "A similar item from 2001 fooled many a news publication and is still occasionally cited as a genuine by gullible reporters." Or should they say, "Intelligent Kerry voters."

MOVIE SUCCESS

Drudge is running a piece from the NY Times that talks about how Paramount Pictures is blaming the election for the disappointing Box Office figures for "Alfie." This is getting funnier and funnier. From saying that the voting machines can't count, to ignorant red staters, to Karl Rove, the left is grasping as straws to help them get over the fact that America flat out rejects liberalism.

It is not that, as the Times article quotes a Paramount exec, "It could be the mood of the country right now," he said. "It seems to be the result of the election. Maybe they didn't want to see a guy that slept around." They just do not get it. One, I don't wanna see anything with America hater and effeminate assclown Jude Law. But it goes beyond that. It goes to the type of movies Hollywood churns out. Telling me that the Passion of the Christ is "pornographic" in its violence but lauding "Natural Born Killers" or "Kill Bill"? On top of that, millionaires like Aflleck, Springsteen, Clooney, Pitt, at al. telling me I have to vote for a candidate who will raise my taxes? That dog just don't hunt.

Entertain me...don't preach to me. When you live in the real world, then you can tell me what you think. I can read a book and watch Ben Affleck's career go to the crapper...and if there is any justice in this world I will one day be able to say to him..."sure, I will take fries with that."

THE COOLEST ELECTORAL MAP

This one is broken down by color and population level.

THE BEST LINE EVER

In this morning's column by Mark Steyn, he has a line that pretty much sums up my intellectual beliefs about the Democrat's who fancy themselves intellectual and cultural elites...

"nobody who campaigns with Ben Affleck at his side has the right to call anybody an idiot."

GREAT WORDS

Today, in several papers, there are some gret columns that speak to the hopes of the American people and the world after the re-election of George W. Bush...

Triumph of Hope - By Fmr. Spanish PM Jose Maria Aznar.
Believe it or not, it wasn't just rednecks.
Condescending Democrats still don't get it.

FINAL MAP

Looks like the final electoral and popular map is out...Bush wins New Mexico and Iowa. He also increases his popular vote totals to a 52% - 47% margin.

UPDATE:The final vote tally is here. President Bush won the popular vote by a now adjusted margin of 4,669,283 votes.

UPDATE: You can also see the % increase (or decrease) in overall voter turnout in each state.

THIS IS ODDLY ADDICTIVE

I found myself driving this damn thing for about 30 minutes today...I cannot help myself. I want to explore the whole planet...but if you stop, you feel like you might miss the cool things right over the edge.

NEW VOTERS AND SWITCHERS

According to this study, Pres. Bush won 65% of new voters and vote switchers.

THE RED/BLUE MAP

The final map is done...here she blows.

2004

2000

ARE WE THAT DIVIDED

That is the question. Are we truly that divided? The answer to me, is overwhelmingly...NO. There were 60 million Americans who voted for President Bush. It seems to me that the overwhelming majority of those who voted against the President are not left-wing nutjobs who yearn for a command style economy, free drug use, abortion on demand, peace at all costs, etc. Taking exit poll data confirms this. Let us assume that all those who identified themselves as "liberal" on election day are Bush-hating, hemp wearing, socialist peaceniks. That accounts for 21% of the electorate. The other 79% describe themselves as Conservative (34%) or Moderate (45%). Assuming that all 34% of conservatives support the President (a valid assumption) and let's assume that only half of the Moderates like an America of low taxes, profess a faith in the almighty, and do not want to see abortion on demand but just didn't like losing their job or were uneasy about Iraq. That translates into 57% of America basically agreeing to most issues on principle, just dividing on some of the means to achieving them.

Now that is a conservative estimate. But it bears itself out if you look at the exit poll numbers on an issue like abortion. The exit poller asked whether abortion should be, always legal, mostly legal, mostly illegal, always illegal. Combining the precentages for mostly legal and mostly illegal brings you to 60%. roughly the same number as our little calculation above. And these estimates do not take into account the people from the right and left wing who would be willing to take some of what they desire and do not need every last ideological victory to validate themselves. Taking that into account, I would dare say you could get to about 75% of Americans agreeing on some issues, disagreeing on others, but all agreeing on the basic values of America...economic freedom, low taxes, small government as is possible, individual control of their own lives and bodies, freedom to worship as they see fit, and the idea that there is no right to be free from being offended.

Are we that divided? No. Does division sell newspapers and glue us to TV talking heads...Yes. So while the radical left weeps and partakes in much gnashing of teeth at the "ignorant masses," they would do well to realize that most of the masses, Bush and Kerry voters, can sit at a dinner table and enjoy themselves together. And the beauty is...that pisses off the radical left more than anything else.

UPDATE: As yet another example, I point to this. "Bush took Muskingum County (Ohio) with 21,901 votes to Kerry's 16,050. That win came alongside a statewide ballot measure to outlaw same-sex marriage that won here, 25,019 to 12,044. Those numbers hint that the same-sex proposition might have drawn 4,000 Kerry supporters." So if Bush won that County by 58% - 42%...and the gay marriage ban passed 67% -33%...it shows that even Kerry voters agree with the 58% of Bush voters on some issues and vice-versa. I am sure there were those who voted for Bush and against the ban. So my 70%-75% of Americans theory again holds true.

THE BUSH COALITION

Sean, over at Smoke My Gun, is a prime example, and blows apart the theory that it was just the "religious right" that got Pres. Bush re-elected. Now, as a proud member of the Christian Right I do think millions upon millions of Christians voted for Pres. Bush. But our victory came not just from that. As much as the idiot left would like to characterize all of us on the right as intellectual lightweights who get spoonfed by Sean Hannity, Foxnews, and our local churches, those beliefs prove their disillusionment. Everyone I know on the right is far more intellectually curious, genuinely compassionate, and far more conscious of their societal responsibilities than anyone I know on the left. As I have argued before, liberalism requires one to depart from reality and enter the world as you wish it would be rather than what it is. It requires you to put your brain on the nightstand. But then again, I am just a Southern, Christian, Conservative with three college degrees including a Juris Doctorate...so what do I know...

337,000 NEW JOBS

Thank God John Kerry wasn't elected or else, when the economy absolutley booms the next 4 years, he would be able to take credit, where no credit would be due.

"REACHING OUT"

The press could get no lower in my book...but...the questions today about whether Pres. Bush is going to "reach out" to Democrats just pisses me off a bit...

Now, I do think he should try and get sane Democrats (i.e. not Michael Moore, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean, et al.....more like Evan Bayh, Ben Nelson, Byron Dorgan, Max Baucus, even John Kerry) involved in the process. But here is the real issue. The GOP won the White House with more votes than any President in history, gained seats in the house, soldified their hold on the Senate, and they have to reach out? Maybe it is the magnanimity that comes with victory but to me it seems like the American people chose a route to take...it is up to the Dems to seek the President and ask, how can we help. This doesn't mean abandoning their principles...as Euro-centric and Neo-socialist as they are. But it means the Democrats and the press coming to the realization that they are out of touch with most of America and that they need to move back to reality...dare I say..."reach out" and touch it.

OIL PRICES PLUMMET

Oil Prices have taken a dive! According to MS"DNC", "there was a large wave of selling among well-financed institutional investors, adding to the downward momentum." What a surprise huh? A market whose price is based on futures contracts, a few months prior to an election, has the price of its commodity bid up and up and up creating a false sense of demand, thereby raising the price...(I hope I haven't lost any idiot socialists or I am sorry...European Social Democrats with all this capitalism talk...) Let us see...who would that hurt? The US economy...President Bush...and who is the biggest futures trader in the world...who caused Asian Markets to tank...who is not allowed near France because of his actions...you guessed it...GEORGE SOROS.

Not only did that Ass-Monkey spend over $25 million of his own money trying to defeat President Bush, but now he owns all those futures contracts that won't be worth the paper they are written on...relatively speaking of course. Maybe I can use them as musket wadding (Liberals will have to look that up since they hate the 2nd Amendment)...If I do use them as Musket wadding, Michael Moore may hear alot of, "Mr. Moore...move a rittle to your reft...rittle more...good..." (You have to have seen Team America for that to be funny...or say it like Kim Jong Il would and it is funny)

DNC SHUTS ITS WEBSITE

The Democrat Party has shut its website down. It only has a letter of John Kerry's concession speech and there is no link to take you to the full site or anything like it. I wonder why? Could it be that Terry McAuliffe cannot even spin this loss for the Democrats? I think so...what do you put on your site after that? I think they are waiting for a new party chairman...although, all of us who love watching Dems lose, wish Terry would stay.

MAINSTREAM MEDIA - DEAD AS YASSER ARAFAT WILL BE

Drudge ran with a story about CNN naming their image files of Pres. Bush such things as "asshole.jpg" and "moron.jpg." Check out the screen capture...

When are they going to realize that Kerry lost, not because he wasn't "liberal" or "progressive" enough, he lost, and CNN and MS"DNC" have lost viewers by the truckload, because they are out of touch with America.

IRANIANS CHEER BUSH VICTORY

No...really...Millions of Iranians cheer victory of George W. Bush.

GETTIN IT RAW

For all the political junkies out there like me (Hell, I was running raw county results in 2000 vs. 2004 in all Florida counties on election night as they came in)...CNN has posted the corrected exit poll numbers for election 2004.

They are really interesting and telling...you can get them here.

LETTERMAN TOP TEN

I do not want it to seem as though we are gloating...and stories other than politics will arrive soon...but I thought this Top Ten from Letterman was pretty funny. My favorites are bolded.

Top Ten John Kerry Excuses
10. Voters were in a fever-induced haze because they couldn't get flu shots.
9. Floridians confused by shockingly unconfusing ballots.
8. Maybe it wasn't best idea to begin speeches with "yo mama is so fat" jokes.
7. The endorsement from Osama Bin Laden didn't exactly help him.
6. "Dude--it's the Curse of the Bambino."
5. Should've campaigned more in New Mexico, less in regular Mexico.
4. Turns out voters think it's hot that Cheney has a lesbian daughter.
3. Thought America was ready for a lunatic first lady.
2. Voters seem to really like a weak economy and a badly-run war.
1. Was distracted by late night erotic phone calls from Bill O'Reilly.

FOR THAT AFTER PARTY FEELING

For all of us who want to celebrate the victory for America the other night...you can get some great gear here.

COUNTY BY COUNTY MAP

The infamous USA Today county by county map of election 2004 is up...albeit a slightly incomplete version. It is worth a look. America is red...at least the heart of America is. Euro-America is blue, but being pushed further and further into the sea.
